Sport is one of Australia’s most celebrated activities, but it can also be a site of violence against women and gender-diverse people. The research teams at La Trobe, Victoria, and Sydney Universities developed crucial policy research on responding to disclosures. I helped translate their work into an accessible initiative—naming it 'Safe to Speak, Bound to Act' and creating an interactive PDF toolkit and 6-minute animation.

The Animation
The animation is intended to be an easily-accessible first step to learning about disclosures of gender-based violence in sport—and how to respond.
I created the concept, visual sequencing, and staging for this 6-minute motion piece—sourcing music and voice-over to make complex policy research engaging and immediately usable.
Motion graphics break down an overwhelming topic into clear, actionable guidance that feels human and approachable rather than institutional.
The Toolkit
The universities needed a stable solution that wouldn't require web maintenance, but still had to make 35 pages of complex policy guidance easy to navigate.
I designed an interactive PDF with custom JavaScript features: drop-down menus on each page, forward/backward navigation arrows, clickable logo returning to contents, and links to external resources including the animation. Applying the Safe to Speak, Bound to Act brand identity throughout, I created a clear visual hierarchy that makes dense policy material approachable and accessible.
The result: a robust, self-contained resource that combines the usability of a website with the stability of a PDF—no hosting, no maintenance, works across all devices.
