I work with people creating amazing businesses, products, services, movements and messages worth noticing.
When we connect, I use strategic thinking and design experience to help imagine how your work could show up in the world. To make sure the cover of the book makes people want to pick it up and discover what's inside.
Too many worthy ideas go unnoticed because the visual story wasn't told well. Let's collaborate to make sure yours gets the attention it deserves.
I'm Brad Welsh, and I run the Büro of Ideas from the Macedon Ranges in Victoria. I studied graphic design at Swinburne University, finishing in 1994, and have spent three decades evolving with the industry – from print production to digital, motion graphics to web design. I work directly with every client. No juniors, no account managers – just someone who cares deeply about the work and its impact.
Recent clients include La Trobe University, Victoria University, Netball Australia, ABGC Film, Holgate Brewhouse, Outdoors Victoria and Cloud Distillery—working across universities, sporting organisations, arts and culture, and purpose-driven businesses building something meaningful.
I choose projects based on impact and values alignment. I work with organisations and businesses addressing social challenges, environmental responsibility, and community wellbeing—operating at human scale with care for their impact. When working with producers using packaging or materials with environmental footprint, I actively encourage choices that reduce harm. I focus on human-scale work, not systems designed for endless growth and consumption. I don't work with corporations whose success depends on harming people or the planet, or marketing that tries to hide that harm.
Every project starts with listening – understanding your challenge and what success looks like – then bringing strategic thinking and design experience to create something distinctly yours.
